Adventure School is built for homeschool families. We treat your information with the same care we'd want for our own families. This page explains what we collect, how we use it, and the controls you have.

Information we collect
We collect only what we need to connect families with great learning experiences:
- Account details — name, email, and password when you sign up.
- Family profile — city, state, children's ages, homeschool style, and interests you choose to share.
- Saved adventures and activity — listings you save, searches you run, and meetups you join.
- Host applications — for hosts, the business and program details you submit.
- Basic technical data — device type and pages visited, used to keep the site running smoothly.
How we use your information
- To recommend adventures near your city and aligned with your interests.
- To let families discover hosts and let hosts reach interested families.
- To send important account, safety, and service messages.
- To improve the platform and prevent misuse.
We do not sell your personal information. Ever.
Account and privacy controls
You stay in charge of your information at all times. From your Profile page you can:
- Edit or remove any field on your family profile.
- Choose what's visible to other families (bio, city, children's ages).
- Opt out of community meetups.
- Delete saved adventures.
- Request account deletion by contacting us.
Children's privacy
Adventure School accounts are for parents and guardians — not for children. We never ask children to create accounts, and we don't knowingly collect personal information directly from kids. When parents add children's ages to a family profile, we use only the age (not names or birthdates) and only to surface age-appropriate adventures. Parents can remove this information at any time.
Communication preferences
We send a small number of emails: account notifications, replies from hosts you contact, and occasional updates about new adventures in your area. You can unsubscribe from non-essential emails using the link at the bottom of any message, or adjust preferences in your Profile.
Data security
Your information is stored on encrypted, access-controlled infrastructure. We use industry-standard practices to protect against unauthorized access, but no online service is ever 100% secure — we encourage strong, unique passwords.
